2015 Primary Program

  Primary Program September 2015

Presidency :This year in Primary, we have had the opportunity to help the children feel and understand the great love that our Savior, Jesus Christ, has for them. Through the witness of the Holy Ghost, the children have learned that Jesus Christ has a very important role in our Heavenly Father’s plan and because of that, they can have faith in him. We have tried to teach them that their faith can grow stronger as they keep the commandments, serve, share the gospel, follow the example of the savior, and prepare for his second coming.
We are so proud of our primary children. They truly are a wonderful little group. Today we would like to share with you some of the lessons we have learned.
SONG: I know that my Savior Loves me
Ellie 1.We Believe in God the Eternal Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Iwen 2. God is the Father of my Spirit.
Kelsey  3. Jesus Christ is the Son of God
Chloe 4. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me. No matter what. All the time.
Kiera  5. Kiera’s Talk: The most important thing you can ever know is this:
·         Jesus Loves you
·         Jesus knows you are special
·         Jesus cheers you on so that you can make good choices
Heavenly Father loves you too. You are his Spirit child. He sent you to earth to get a body and to learn. For spirit children, going to earth is kind of like when young adults go to college to learn something new.
And just like a person leaves when they graduates from college someday We will “graduate” from earth life and return to live with our Heavenly Father. He misses us when we are away and will be happy to see us again.
We make good choices so we can return to Heavenly Father with honor. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

SONG: He Sent His Son
Raia  6. Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer.
Lindsey 7. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ, all men may be saved. Jesus Christ     was resurrected, and I will be too.
Malachi  9. Malachi’s Talk:

“Through the atonement of Jesus Christ all men may be saved.”
Do you wonder what this means? It means that Jesus died for us so that we can live again. The atonement is what Jesus did to make it possible for us to repent and return to God.
When we repent and Keep God’s commandments, we can be exalted. Exalted means we can live in the highest and best place of happiness when we are in heaven.  I know that Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to be happy. I am so thankful for the atonement of Jesus Christ.
Iigen10. Iigen’s talk:
Jesus Christ is our Savior and redeemer. He suffered for our sins and sorrows. He died for us. Now, we can repent and return to our Father who lives in Heaven.
SONG: Follow the Prophet
Dane  11. God speaks through prophets.
Braylon 12 Prophets are called of God.
Vincent 13. Prophets testify of Jesus Christ.
Mark 14. There is safety in following the prophet.

SONG: The Church of Jesus Christ
Oliver 15.  Jesus Christ Restored the Fullness of the Gospel.
Isaac 16. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith.
Ana 17. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God.
Annica 18. Annica’s Talk:
Imagine a glass full of clear, pure water. If we bump the glass, some water might spill out and the glass wouldn’t be full anymore.
When Adam and Eve were created, the fullness of the gospel was on the earth. For many years, prophets taught the gospel.
When Jesus Christ was on earth, He established His Church. He taught the fullness of the gospel: faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism by immersion, the gift of the Holy Ghost, and obedience to the commandments. Jesus showed all people how we should live. He became the Savior of us all. The gospel glass of water was full.
But as the years passed, parts of the gospel were lost because wicked people changed it or didn’t obey it. The gospel glass of water was bumped and parts of it spilled. The fullness of the gospel was no longer on earth. Heavenly Father promised He would give us the fullness of the gospel again. He called Joseph Smith to help him restore the gospel.
John 3:16 tells us that Heavenly Father gave us His Son and the gospel because He loves us. He calls prophets to teach everyone His gospel so that we will know what we have to do to live with Him again.
We are blessed to have the fullness of the gospel in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Our gospel glasses are full to the top, and Heavenly Father has promised us that the gospel will never be taken from the earth again
SONG: Choose the Right Way

Ben 19. Principles and ordinances of the gospel lead me to Jesus Christ.
Zeke 19.5 There are 4 principles and Ordinances of the gospel.
Adalyn  20. What are the principles and Ordinances of the gospel?
All kids  21. (All Children say: would be fun to have four hold signs that said: Faith, Repentence, baptism, Laying on of Hands) “We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the gospel are: first, FAITH in the Lord Jesus Christ. Second: Repentance. Third, baptism by immersion for the remission of sins. Fourth: Laying on of hands for the Gift of the Holy Ghost.
Gage  22. My strength in Jesus Christ is strengthened when I obey. I can repent when I need to start over.
Coleman 24. When I was baptized, I made a covenant with God. A covenant is a two way promise. I promised to take upon myself the name of Jesus Christ, keep His commandments, and serve Him to the end. Heavenly Father promised me a remission of sins and, through the ordinance of confirmation, the gift of the Holy Ghost. I renew this covenant each time we partake of the sacrament.
Javen  25.When I am confirmed a  member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day   Saints by the power of the priesthood, I receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. The words used in the prayer are simple but very important:  You will hear “… confirm you a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and say unto you, receive the Holy Ghost.”
Cayden  26. The Gift of the Holy Ghost is the right to the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. The Savior said: “If ye love me, keep my commandments.
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide [stay] with you for ever;
“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” (John 14:15–17.)

SONG: The Holy Ghost

Madison 27. The Holy Ghost Testifies of the Truth of All things.
Scott  28. Moroni 10:5: By the power of the Holy Ghost, ye may know the truth of all things. How will I know if the Holy Ghost is trying to teach me the truth? It  could be by feeling clarity in my thoughts or I may have a warm feeling inside or  feeling a deep sense of peace. Also, The Holy Ghost speaks with a voice that you feel more than you hear. It is described as a “still small voice”
Kiera  29. The Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead.
Logan 30. The Holy Ghost speaks in a still small voice.
Cambria 31. The Holy Ghost can guide and protect us. He “witnesses of the Father and the Son” (2 Nephi 31:18) and reveals and teaches “the truth of all things” (Moroni 10:5). We can receive a sure testimony of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ only by the power of the Holy Ghost. His communication to our spirit carries far more certainty than any communication we can receive through our natural senses.
As we strive to stay on the path that leads to eternal life, the Holy Ghost can guide us in our decisions and protect us from physical and spiritual danger.
Leieste: Through the Holy Ghost, we can receive gifts of the Spirit for our benefit and for the benefit of those we love and serve (see D&C 46:9-11). There are many gifts of the Spirit. Some of them are: Faith, knowledge, and the gift to heal.
SONG: Come Follow Me
Ellie 32. I can Follow Jesus Christ’s example.
Iwen  33. Luke 18:22 “Come, Follow me.”
Kelsey 34. Jesus Christ always obeyed Heavenly Father.
Chloe  35. Jesus Christ went about doing good.
Raia 36. Jesus Christ’s example teaches me how to live.
 Zeke 36.5   Zeke’s Talk
Jesus says it is important to obey. Heavenly Father and Jesus want us to read our scriptures. Here is a story about a little girl who found out obeying made her happy.
When Lisa was nine years old, she felt unhappy and out of sorts much of the time. Everyone in the family wondered why she was so grumpy. One night as she walked into her bedroom, she saw her Book of Mormon by the door.
Of course I’m not happy, she thought, I haven’t been reading the scriptures. That night she read a few verses. She decided that she would read every night. As the days passed, she felt happier and more peaceful.
This habit of reading the scriptures every day, even just a few verses, has blessed her ever since. (August Friend 2015 p. 13, Be a Shining example.)
SONG: I Feel My Savior’s Love
Lindsey  37. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He is a God of Miracles.
Malachi  38. 2 Nephi 27:23 says, “ For behold, I am a God of Miracles;…and I work not among the children of men save it be according  to their faith.”
Iigen  39. Jesus Christ can heal the sick.
Dane 40. Jesus Christ has power over death.
Braylon 41. Miracles come to those who have faith.
Ana  42. Ana’s Talk:
“Has someone in your family been sick? Jesus’s friends Mary and Martha worried because their brother, Lazarus, was very sick. They sent someone to tell Jesus so He could come heal Lazarus. But Lazarus died before Jesus got there.
When Jesus saw how sad Mary and Martha were, He cried. Then He asked someone to move the stone from the door of the tomb, and He commanded Lazarus to come out. Lazarus’s spirit came back into his body, and he walked out of the tomb, still wearing burial clothes. People were amazed. Jesus had power over death! He truly was the Son of God!
Each of Jesus’s miracles showed His great love and His great power. If we believe in Him and follow His example, we will live with Him again!”
(From the August 2015 Friend p. 40, Jesus Brings Lazarus Back to Life)
SONG: I’m Trying to be Like Jesus
Vincent 43. I Obey Jesus Christ because I Love him.
Iwen 44.  Iwen’s Talk
My favorite song is “Nephi’s courage!” This song is about how Nephi knew that if he was willing to obey Heavenly Father, then heavenly Father would help him find a way to obey. If we want to obey Heavenly father, then he will help us, just like he helped Nephi; even when it seems very hard.
Mark 45. I show Love for Jesus Christ When I keep the Commandments.
Oliver 46. My Love for Jesus Christ Grows when I Pray.
Isaac 46.5 My love for Jesus Christ grows when I help others.
Ben 47. My love for Jesus Christ Grows when I study the Scriptures.
Adalyn 48. John 14:15, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
Song: I hope they call me on a mission
Gage 49.  The Mission of the church is to invite all to come unto Christ.
Annica 50. Prophets are servants of Jesus Christ. When we follow the prophet, we follow Jesus Christ.
Coleman 51. Sharing the gospel can help others learn about Jesus.
Javen 52. Jesus Christ taught us how to serve others
Cayden 53. When I serve my family, I serve God.
Madison 54. When I serve my neighbors, I serve God.
Song: My Heavenly Father Loves Me

Scott 55. I know that my Redeemer lives.
Kiera 56. Jesus Christ came to earth as promised by the prophets
Logan  57. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world.
Cambria 58. Jesus Christ will return to the earth someday.
Leieste 59. I can live with Jesus Christ again.
Ben 60. As a primary we echo D&C 76:22 which says, “And now after the many testimonies which have been given of {Jesus}, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives.
Song: I Know that My Redeemer Lives.
Presidency :Closing: Your children know that Jesus lives. As the primary song says, “I did not touch Him or sit on His knee. Yet Jesus is real to me. I know he lives.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
